A Woman is Human Too

Stop taking from her what you wouldn’t give

“Please just kill me. Don’t rape me, please kill me. I…I ca…I can’t take it. Just kill me" Jaye pleaded brokenly, amidst tears to her captors.

But it all fell on deaf ears, they were tearing down her clothes in a frenzy craze, one person pushed her to the floor, one held her down by the arms, one spread her legs wide, while one stood over her naked from the waist down, rubbing his growing erection tenderly. They were four in numbers, the one that pushed her down stood back with a phone in hand recording all the madness.

In one corner of her mind she wondered why she is not struggling and fighting them, in another corner of her mind she convinced herself nothing is happening, told herself she's in the arms of Lola in their home, and not in the middle of a bush being brutally consumed from the inside, in broad daylight.

So when the one standing over her kneel down between her thighs to softly touch her vagina as though in worship, she didn't feel it. Neither did she allow herself to feel it when the one holding her down by the arm started kneading her left breast as though it were a dough, nor did she see the one holding her down by the legs stood up to allow Mr Erection better access.

She was far away in her head, and when Mr Erection suddenly entered her dry soft fold she didn't scream at the pain, she only closed her eyes to the horror she knew was coming. They took turns in devouring her, each of them more brutal than the other.

They spread her up from inside out, and for a second she wondered if their seeds would interact in her womb, but she dismissed the thought as insignificant. She only wished she had hugged Lola tightly that morning before setting out to go for the job interview, now she will never get to see his smile, never again hear the sound of his deep voice when he’s muttering about how she maltreat him because she wouldn’t allow him take his favorite ice cream for breakfast. She almost smile through the turmoil.

She came back to reality when she heard one of them asked "should we dress her up back?" She didn’t know why the articulation of that statement surprised her, almost as if she wasn’t expecting someone with such finesse in words to have a barbaric attitude. She opened her eyes and saw them fully for the first time, they stood side by side looking down at her. She assumed the one holding her dress was the one that asked the question, she looked at them and was surprised at how ordinary they looked, she could have passed them on the road and wouldn’t have guessed how dark their souls are. You could even call them handsome, she wanted to imprint their faces on her head but she told herself it doesn’t matter, she does not want to take their faces with her to the great oblivion.

One of them collected her clothes and dropped it on her while the rest tried adjusting their clothes, they turned to leave and a deep fear gripped her. Do they mean to leave me? She thought. She tried crawling after them but pain held her down, so she used her voice instead.

"Ple…please…please" She couldn’t communicate what she was begging for at first so she tried again "Kill me, just kill me"

But they already bent a corner and were gone before she could finish the sentence. She crawled to her knees, deaden her mind to the pain groaning through her, and gently, she stood up slowly. But before she could find her footings, her eyes rolled back in her head and everything went dark before she hit the ground.

I’ve been trying to come up with a story since we entered the year, but I didn’t have anything that stuck. Funny that when a story finally did stick, it had to be this dark.

To every victim of abuse, I hope you are shining your light bright in this dark world, and shaming all barriers. You are human, and I see you ❤️

P.S: I think I want to use my pictures more this year, see it as a way of shining my light. The pictures might not mean anything, it might just be me showing my beautiful self or showing off my photography skills. Hehehe 🙃
